Core mission church building
The "church building" core mission team supports the local churches of BewegungPlus to live in their biblical calling, to grow qualitatively and quantitatively and to meet the challenges of the 21st century.
Active churches
A church that lives its mission is a congregation in which people love and adore God passionately, spend time together and give themselves to each other (Acts 2,42-47). A fellowship in motion wants to become more and more like Jesus Christ and attracts outsiders.
Healthy churches
Research about church growth have shown eight characteristics of a healthy church through the examination of a large number of churches worldwide: healthy churches worldwide distinguish themselves from others through affectionate relationships, integrated small-groups, inspiring church services, appropriate structures and passionate spirituality. And staff members, who contribute according to their talents, leaders that release people for the building up of the church and forms of evangelisation that meet people at the point of their needs.
Growing churches
It is God's deepest desire that men and women come into a relationship with him. Jesus Christ died "to seek and to save, what was lost", Luke 19,10. God wants lost people to be found, to be brought into a relationship with Jesus Christ, to be baptised in his name and to be integrated into a local church.
Fearless churches - that do not fear the challenges of the 21st century
In certain respects, church building stands in competition with all that our society offers. The biggest challenges of the church therefore consist of...
showing their need of salvation and leading them to the Saviour Jesus Christ to people in a saturated society.
helping people of a wounded society to be saved and spiritually healthy.
- teaching people of an individualistic society how to integrate into an authentic Christian community.
teaching people of a society based on leisure time and fun to invest as a church in a common mission.
teaching people of a “stinginess is cool” society that Christian charity brings more.
Methods
The church building core missions team coaches and motivates local churches and is present in different ways:
YouthPlus
YouthPlus connects children, teenagers and youth ministries of the whole movement. In addition, YouthPlus supports local churches in the leaders' training.
YouthPlus offers weekends, mission trips, training weeks and days. We work together in a national core team, representing the different fields. Each of these representatives has their own teams that organize and run the events.
Additionally, YouthPlus is involved in different interdenominational venues like f.e. the Teenie-Praise-Night or the Newleader Association. Internationally, YouthPlus is involved in the Euro Mission. One important goal is that the young people develop, on the one hand, a healthy self-confidence and, on the other hand, become more aware that BewegungPlus is a part of the worldwide body of Christ.
Ministry Conference
The annual Ministry Conference is focused on the leaders and co-workers of the local churches. Plenum-events and workshops motivate and inspire the participants to build healthy and growing churches.
Churches, leadership teams and pastors
The church building core ministry team provides professional support in different ways for leaders and co-workers from the local churches in professional matters. This includes all areas involved in the building up of a local church, such as small-groups, youth-church services or children's programs. The team is also available for churches desiring a new impulse for evangelism or launching a new discipleship concept in the church.
InstitutePlus
The church builduing core ministry team is committed to an adapted mediation of the topic of church building in the different school modules.
