History
What has now become "BewegungPlus" used to be called "Gemeinde für Urchristentum", henceforth GfU, prior to its name change in 2000. The GfU has its roots in Rüti bei Riggisberg in the Bernese Oberland. Since 1927, intensive Bible study weeks took place regularly under the leadership of Pastor Christof Drollinger. This retired pastor from the Baden-Württemberg church brought a longing for a new quality of Christian life and deeper spiritual experiences into the Bernese Oberland. In addition to the sermons, Bible-work and personal experience reports, they also attached great importance to the practice of so-called «spiritual gifts», as described in the Bible (1st Corinthians 12).
